We may also be expected to inform members of steps and procedures, including their rights in filing of claims and hearings when they feel that their rights have been violated by either management or other union members.

Goals
To join with our Unions and the UAW Civil Rights department to work toward the elimination of discrimination in the workplace, our communities and our nation.

Activities
Along with helping out in our local plant’s activities, we also support local charities such as the Local 12 Laid Off Assistance Program, Cherry Street Mission, and the Sparrows Nest, we also support our Local NAACP and A. Philip Randolph Institute. We have participated in voter registration and get out the vote drives. We feel it is necessary to be of service to our plants and communities. Together we can make a difference
